In June of 2024, I boarded the train for a personal writer’s retreat. In 2025, I published T is for Train, a memoir about the trip, about reading and writing, and about learning about a traumatic period in my late teens. In this post, I wrote about the writing project.
I wanted good pictures in the book, but I also didn’t want the book to be a vacation slideshow. I wanted color, but the cost didn’t quite match the want so the book ended up with Black and Whites.
